FAIR was established in 1999 in response to the need to tackle some of the social problems in Rushden, reduce isolation and reach those families most vulnerable
and at risk.
By working with parents, children and community groups the range of services provided rapidly grew, together with the area served and in 2002 we became a registered charity (No.1095334).
Staff and volunteers work together combining their skills and life experiences to provide services. Many have been recruited from within the projects; some were originally service users who progressed to volunteers and then into employment
with FAIR.
Supporting children and families is of utmost importance to staff and volunteers and this can be experienced by simply entering the very positive and uplifting atmosphere, of the project base.
FAIR is in direct partnership with Park Road Baptist Church and is accommodated
at their Family Centre in Rushden, Northamptonshire. Services are also delivered at several sites within the county including schools, community centres, churches and Wellingborough Prison.
FAIR follows the guidelines and procedures of the “Safeguarding Children’s Board”. Trustees, Staff and Volunteers are enhanced CRB checked receiving training and supervision. Services are delivered within the framework of “Every Child Matters” covering at least one and often several areas within the framework of: Be Healthy, Stay Safe, Enjoy & Achieve, Make A Positive Contribution and Achieve Economic Well-Being.
Interagency and partnership working is at the very core of service delivery at FAIR.
Its strength lies in proactive working and a proven ability to respond quickly and deliver high quality services to meet the needs of families. We respect and value the contribution partnership working brings for families, children, young people, staff and volunteers.
Over 5000 contacts with children a year are delivered by four individually funded teams Children’s, Family Support, Child Contact, Administration & Finance. |
